I’m spending the last few days of my journey in the beach town of Varkala in southern Kerala. It’s not too shabby.
The Hindu spring festival, Holi, is mainly celebrated in the north of India. We still managed to get a little taste of it here in Kerala.
I didn’t manage to ignore the Goa trance scene entirely whilst I’ve been here. This party was at a pretty cool venue up at Morjim beach.
Today we went down to Candolim for cafe chocolati’s famous brownies, beach time and dinner at pete’s shack. A great day out.
My dear friend Linda gets a cocktail on the beach most afternoons so today I decided to join her. Fresh coconut and pineapple equals the best piña coladas.
Today we went to Big Vagator beach, which tends to attract fewer tourists and more locals. The sunset was pretty beautiful today.
I love this carving of the Hindu diety, Shiva, in the rock at Little Vagator beach here in Goa.
