For New Year’s Eve 2012, I took a boat trip to the magical Halong Bay in the north of Vietnam. It was very foggy and extremely atmospheric, although it was hard to capture in a picture.
It felt like I was in another world.
Today I left Bangkok and made my way to Pakchong near to the Khao Yai National Park. In the afternoon I visited a natural spring pool and some caves and watching tens of thousands of bats flying out of their cave at dusk.
Today I took a canoe trip down Barton Creek Cave. It´s a limestone cave going about that was used by the ancient Maya. The canoe trip goes approx one mile into the cave, which continues for at least another 4 miles.
