Day 151: Goodbye SE Asia

After an overnight bus to Bangkok (including a drug-bust) the only humane way to spend a day in the capital was to pay a hotel to let me use their pool for the day before my flight to India.

Day 150: Naga

It’s temples galore in Chaing Mai. At the entrance to the temples there are often statues of great serpents, or naga. This one was particularly beautiful.

Day 149: Thai cooking class

Today I went to cooking school which was AMAZING. We started out by visiting a local market with our small wicker baskets.

We got to choose from a range of different dishes and then cooked them in small groups and eating each dish after we made it. I cooked papaya salad, tom yum soup, pad thai, green curry with chicken and coconut sticky rice with mango.
